Paste your URL into PulseCheck, pick a check interval, and add the email address, phone number, or Slack webhook you want alerts on. We ping the URL on your interval and message you the instant it flips from up to down — and again when it comes back. That's the entire setup; there's nothing to install and no agent to run on your server.
How often does PulseCheck check my sites?+
Every minute on the Starter and Pro plans, and every five minutes on the Free plan. Each check records the HTTP status code and the response time, so you get a latency history alongside the up/down record.
Can I get uptime alerts in Slack?+
Yes. Drop an incoming webhook URL into a monitor and state changes post straight to that channel. Slack alerting is included on Starter and Pro, and email works on every plan including Free. SMS alerting is coming to Pro shortly — it's built, and we're waiting on carrier approval before switching it on.
Is there a free uptime monitoring plan?+
There is. The Free plan gives you one monitor with five-minute checks, email alerts, and seven days of history — no credit card, and no trial clock counting down. It's meant to stay useful indefinitely for a single side project.
Will PulseCheck spam me while a site is down?+
No. We alert once on the transition, then send a single 'still down' nudge every 45 minutes until it recovers. The goal is that every message you get from us tells you something you didn't already know.
Do you monitor APIs, not just websites?+
Any HTTP endpoint works. Point a monitor at a health-check route with GET or HEAD and it's treated exactly like a page — status code, response time, uptime percentage, and the same alerting rules.
What does PulseCheck cost?+
Free for one monitor, $9/month for Starter (5 monitors) and $19/month for Pro (20 monitors). Pricing is flat and tied only to how many monitors you need — there are no per-seat charges, so adding teammates never changes your bill.
What are AI Diagnostics?+
On the Pro plan, PulseCheck reads the failing response — status code, headers, and body — and writes up a plain-English explanation of the most likely cause, so you start debugging with a hypothesis instead of a blank page.
